About

A former wood-warder-turned-traveler, Roroux is a native of Golmore who shed his ties to his sacred home in order to experience the outside world in all its splendor. Though he has turned his back on his village, he still keeps their teachings of dance close to his heart; today, Roroux continues to pursue knowledge on additional styles of dance, so that he might perfect his craft and hone his combat abilities—both of which are intimately entwined with one another.Leaving the jungle has allowed Roroux to develop interests in further subjects, and he's come to fancy aetherology quite a lot—he seeks to incorporate the use of magic into both his fighting and dancing, and is eager to seek out any new learning opportunities to help him flourish in the numerous fields of magic found across the world. As illustrious as his subjects of interest may be, don't be fooled: Roroux is definitely not the scholarly type, and is often too playful for his own good. You're just as likely to find him having a good time at a pub with new friends as you are to see him studying...so if you see him around, don't be afraid to say hello and get to know him♥

Who doesn't love a good meal? One of the highlights of traveling is visiting new eateries, and you're more than likely to find Roroux feasting in any locale that sells food. He asks about the local eats as soon as he arrives at his destination, and would love the advice and companionship of a fellow gastronome. The more, the merrier!

Study Session

While symposiums and lectures may not be the highlight of any travel destination outside of Sharlayan, you will nonetheless find Roroux attending one wherever he may be. He's present at many forums on magical research, and is overeager to learn from those more versed in navigating the manipulation of aether.

Glitz and Glamour

Roroux has a taste for the finer things in life, and isn't afraid to show it. He has an endless wardrobe full of opulent outfits and jewelry, and is always looking to acquire new pieces, seeking out skilled weavers and goldsmiths to bring new outfits to life. Weavers and goldsmiths of renown often became acquainted with him...and his sizeable purse.

Practice Makes Perfect

Wherever he goes, there's bound to be murmurings of a viera flinging spells from a curious weapon, or working on his magic in places that can be inconvenient from time to time. Perhaps you've found him in the middle of perfecting new magic—depending on his progress, you might feel inclined to help him out if you're kind.

Uh, Which Way?

Navigating around the forest you grew up in is easy, but outside of that is another beast entirely. Roroux loses his way quite frequently, and is terrible with directions when the path is lacking in noticeable landmarks or isn't straightforward. Should you see him doubling back more than once, please take pity on the poor viera and help him get to his destination. He's more than happy to reward those who help him, whether it be with money or treats...he makes a mean rolanberry cheesecake!

Life of the Party

With the financial support of a woman hailing from new money, Roroux is never left wanting. While he accepts the gifts from his benefactor, he has not let ample funds render him idle. You'll still find him picking up quests from the adventurer's guild, or dancing away where entertainment and merriment is needed. If you've picked up the same quest as him, or have become a temporary coworker or client, Roroux will happily hand over his part of the spoils and ensure that your time spent with him isn't dull!

Roroux has a budding interest in goldsmithing and blacksmithing, as it pertains to his interest in crafting weapons and foci for his studies. He's looking for an experienced smithy to show him the ropes and enlighten him, and perhaps take pity on him if it turns out that's he's not quite cut out for the work.

Freedom Fighters

Roroux is constantly on the lookout for members of the Dalmascan Resistance, both current and former. He owes it to his dearest friend to find information about a person of interest—a member of the Resistance—when he can, and will seek out anyone who's even hinted at being acquainted with them.

Hi, I'm Roro! I've been playing FFXIV since 2014, and have been an avid writer since around 2006. I enjoy hardcore/semi-hardcore raiding and helping friends with content in-game along with roleplaying, and I'm a diehard DNC main and frequent commissioner.

Roroux Primrose is my extremely spoiled bun located on Jenova. I designed his hairstyle well before the Benchmark came out so it's a bit different from what you'll see in-game, but his drawn hairstyle reflects what characters will see in canon! The images in his gallery are watermarked, but I'll happily authorize anyone with a TH account to view the unwatermarked images. Please don't be afraid to ask!I love to RP both in-game and through discord, but I tend to lean more on discord as I can make longer, more detailed posts when the inspiration strikes.
